ADSRI - The Australian Demographic and Social Research Institute.
The Australian Demographic and Social Research Institute (ADSRI) was established in 2007 by the Australian National University. ADSRI
aims to retain and enhance the university's position as the leading Australian research and training institution for demography and
social research, recognised both nationally and internationally for its work. The Institute's thematic research agenda for the next
five years is: the population and social dynamics of Australia and its region in the 21st century. ASSDA is part of ADSRI.
ACSPRI - Australian Consortium for Social and Political Research Inc.
A consortium of Australian universities and government organisations with an interest in research methods and machine readable data.
ACSPRI offers highly regarded programs in research and statistical methods four times a year, and holds the Australian subscription to ICPSR.
ABS - The Australian Bureau of Statistics
The ABS is Australia's official statistical agency. Their website holds publicly available statistical information on a number of
different topics, and they also offer special services to universities, libraries and schools.
International Links
Through our participation in international data archiving communities, ASSDA maintains close links with overseas data archives, data libraries and other data organisations. ASSDA is proud to be an active member of the following international organisations.
IFDO - International Federation of Data Organisations
IFDO aims to foster both worldwide cooperation and the exchange of datafiles and social science information between national archives around the world.
IASSIST - International Association of Social Science Information Service and
Technology
IASSIST is a network that aims to link social researchers with both methodologists and computing specialists and information specialists. Its
publications and conferences serve the exchange of ideas and developments in data services, such as data archives and data libraries, statistical
agencies, research and academic centres.
