Study zone

Study zones are defined by a combination of Local Government Areas (LGAs) and codes are allocated from 1 within each State. Code lists of LGAs and their Sections are given in the `1971 Census Code List of Local Government Areas in Statistical Divisions' (C71LGA.PDF).

	Victoria:

	Queensland:
		(1)	Brisbane-Gold Coast; LGAs 1-78, 80, 86 and NSW LGA 120
		(2)	Toowoomba; LGA 147
		(3)	Rockhampton; LGA 190
		(4)	Townsville; LGAs 244-245
	South Australia:
		(1)	Adelaide; LGAs 1-33
	Western Australia:
