Each CD has been allocated to one postcode area. There is an element of approximation in those cases where a CD contains addresses belonging to more than one postcode area but the CD has been allocated to the area containing the bulk of the population. This is of particular importance in some large rural CD's containing a number of localities with different postcodes but applies also to individual urban CD's.
